Dragon was not liked in set 7, but it was fun to play the dragons. I believe it is because although the early sets are not as mature and had a lot of buggy or overpowered comps, those were the factors that made the game fun and memorable.

I have been seeing a lot of reminiscence of sets 1 - 4 lately. I just want to say that in my opinion, we would have at least had more fun playing set 8 if that was the case.

Overall, it felt like this set was going to head in the direction of Time Knife Shen, but backed out half-way. It was nerfed to the point that the unit being punched just walks right back as if never punched. Mind you, Sett was able to punch units off the board from the center of the board in PBE. People said just use hacker to send sett to the back line to do this, but why do we never see anyone do it? Because using Sett that way comes with the cost of going 8th. When I pick punch protocol, I want to see Sett punch some units off the board in that game. When I pick Kayle Divine Ascension and finish my comp, I expect Kayle to delete the whole board while the other units serve as front lines while Kayle stack full duelists, but we don't see this. But not even the best players in the world can achieve this (it is the worst augment to take right now on 2-1). When I pick Nasus Stacks on Stacks and finish my comp, I expect the Nasus to be able to 1v10 by one-shoting every unit if I survive to stage 5/6. Obviously, this is imbalanced even if I am arguing that this is what the set is about, but we are denied of this kind of fun gameplay this whole set: Time Knife Shen on the other hand just requires stacking armor and play 6 defender and 1 star Shen can delete units. But it is often not because the augments were good, it was because the unit or trait was too good. In this set so far, we have seen some hero augments with insane win rates such as Jax and Sett.
